“To lose weight, I must not skip meals”, “I have to eat certain foods at certain times”, “I must always have a balanced meal”...wrong, again! Eating fruits and vegetables when you are not hungry will result in just as many added pounds. “Despite a diet rich in green vegetables, lean meats and fruits you can put on weight if you eat it without considering how hungry you actually are,” says dietician Marie-Laure Thollier. Just one rule, then – eat only when you are hungry.

Exercise:

You need to test your levels of hunger, even if it means not eating all day. This will allow you to experience the different levels of “small, medium and great hunger”.

For 2 weeks, every day, test out each of these three levels, one day while waiting to get just a little hungry, and then extremely hungry the next day. You can do this by eating your first meal either in the morning, early afternoon or late in the day.

Objectives:

- Not being afraid of feeling hungry.

- Learning to tolerate the sensation.

- Identifying the point of “good hunger” where there is "the minimum level of discomfort and the maximum level of eating pleasure".
