Beauty Review: Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution

Dealing with zits is a pesky enough situation as is but what comes afterwards is a true facial nightmare. Even though we’ve been told to not pick or poke at our zits, there is always a residual dark spot at the area where the zit once held ground. And those usually take a couple of months before diminishing into oblivion.
Pair zits ‘scars’ and being in a country that prides itself for sunny weather all year round; getting dark spots or sunspots is definitely a legitimate worry. The petite 30ml transparent bottle contains a serum that promotes youthful clarity by reducing the appearance of dark spots, discolourations and hyper pigmentation. With a combination of activated Vitamin C (allows for more effective skin penetration) and extracts of Peony and White Birch, the ingredients work in synergy to restore hydration, improve skin elasticity and facilitate the reversal of discolouration. A tiny bottle but a mean punch for sure.
Our Verdict? After targeting various dark spots, post-zit apocalypse, for a couple of weeks, the spots started to fade and became lighter in appearance. Applying it religiously, day and night, is essential if you want to notice results – so no skiving off your beauty routine.
If you’re looking to achieve an overall even skin tone or brightness, all you need to do is apply one small pump of the serum all over your face and neck. The serum will glide on fairly smoothly leaving a faint scent of lavender. The consistency is a little heavy – a little gel-like – so it may take a little longer for your skin to absorb but it’s worth the wait for luminous skin.
