Picking out a hairstyle can often be a tricky task but a rule of thumb to follow is, if you want to show off the neckline of your dress then hair up, otherwise hair down. Once you have that settled, the trick now lies in styling. For that, we spoke to hair mavens at Sebastian Professional and they gave us 2 relatively easy looks to recreate for the holiday season, whether you have short hair or long.

How to get the look:
1. Wash hair with your favourite shampoo & conditioner
2. Start by spraying Trilliant (approx. USD45) over damp hair
3. Blow-dry hair downwards according to natural hair fall
4. Use a straightening iron for a smooth, head hugging bob
5. For tight texture at the crown area, use your fingertips and work Shine Crafter Wax through the hair

How to get the look:
1. Wash hair with your favourite shampoo & conditioner
2. Mix Texturizer (approx. USD38) and Potion 9 (approx. USD45) in the palm of your hand and apply to damp hair
3. Blow-dry hair with a round brush and use curling irons to create waves
4. Gently brush out curls for more volume
5. Create a middle parting at the top and sculpt waves around the face
