From Givenchy's green animal prints to Valentino's festival-ready designs, here are our highlights and favourites from the cruise collections.

Resort, cruise, holiday... call it what you want, the in-between-seasons collections are back. Over the past weeks we saw collection after collection of lines held at peculiar venues (live-grammed by top bloggers, no less), unique presentations and clothes nothing short of flawless.

Themes ran in different directions, from earthy khakis to embellished everything to Coachella-inspired pieces. The designers had concepts within concepts and stories within a bigger picture. Riccardo Tisci brought Givenchy to the streets - literally - in muted greens and layered coats. While the House of de La Renta pulled out all the stops in mature weekend looks alongside the label's signature work - ball gowns.

This season also seemed to be the comeback of the kitten heel. Long forgotten and quickly replaced by sky-high stilettos, stacked heels and today's anti-fashion poolside slides. So it's refreshing to see a new take on what some have previously dubbed the 'baby carrot heel'.

Our gallery above takes you through some of the best looks of the season and may have you predicting which style stars will be stealing (or getting sent by the designers themselves).
