The New York-based designer label shows us how to rock colourful prints in a sophisticated way.
When it comes to Fall/Winter collections, we are used to seeing a lot of blacks, grays and dark tones in general. As the mood gets more serious - and in some places the weather colder - it seems only fitting to reflect that through more muted hues.
However, there are always the Pre-Fall collections which tend to be more transitional and certainly welcome by those of us who love a bit of colour to brighten up their day.
For its Pre-Fall 2013, Proenza Schouler has created the perfect palette to see us through the transition to winter. With hues from turquoise, purple, burgundy to burnt orange and navy blue, the uber-chic NY label has brought back some playful element to the otherwise basic shapes.
We love the photo print separates - inspired by the visuals seen by the designers on their holiday in Fiji - which are perfect for mixing and matching with more basic pieces and can also be worn head to toe for a striking yet sophisticated statement look.
Already seen on stylish celebrities like Miranda Kerr and Freida Pinto, the printed numbers prove a perfect balance between fun and chic and would definitely put anyone on the best dressed list.
