The killer question: How to avoid lines and traces of foundation?

1 How to choose foundation
Traces of foundation are often a sign that the colour of the product is not suitable for your skin tone. When you go to buy a new foundation, put a touch of the product on your jaw to find the closest match to your neck and face colour. Do not test it out on your hand – your face and you hand may not share the same skin colour.
2 Apply using your hand
Many professionals use brushes but this is unnecessary and often doesn’t blend the foundation in as well. The foundation is also heated when it comes in contact with your fingers – allowing for a smoother application.
3 Avoid the neck area
Foundation is used to even out skin tone and cover blemishes – so try and avoid your neck area. Instead of opting for a darker foundation – use a blush or a bronzer to bring some colour back into your skin.
4 Quick trick
If you suffer from skin problems, after application take a little bit of the product and using your fingertips, lightly tap the area. This ensures long-lasting wear.
5 What to look out for:
Do not use bronzer on the entire face. Keep in mind the number 3. Why? Because for the bronzer, it must start from the temple down to the cheekbones and finish on the jaw as if drawing the number 3 on each side of the face.
