Get the Look: Dries Van Noten’s casual spring layers

Fresh off the runways is Dries Van Noten‘s latest Spring 2016 collection on the first day of Paris Fashion Week, that commenced just yesterday. Apart from a whirl of bright colours, metallic prints and a play on proportions, we opted to single out an ensemble that’s in tune with current wearable trends.
Culottes aren’t going anywhere, so you can go ahead and get those cropped wide-leg denims you’ve been eyeing for a while, because you’re sure to wear them with everything from crop tops to loose T-shirts. Here the designer goes with the classics and pairs high-waisted jeans with a grey top, tucked in with a haphazardly knotted black belt. More dimension is added to the look with a long lightweight coat, which is airy enough for the warm outdoors but keeps any cool indoor temperatures at bay.
Another spin on the socks-and-sandals combo, the look is refreshing under blue denim and and gives you more freedom to play up the print-clashing on your feet. Will you be wearing the look this weekend?
