Manila’s Concept Shop: The Complex Lifestyle Store

As the Christmas spirit envelops much of the known world, Manila is unlikely to miss out on the festivities and a chance to celebrate. Decor, lights and songs are everywhere. Shopping centres are packed with the madding crowd on the hunt for the elusive bargain or exclusive gifts. If you have not bought presents for your loved ones or for yourself, then it’s time to head on to the nearest plaza and join the fun. If you are wary of the packed department stores, why not opt to buy at concept stores. They offer selections that could fit your specific needs and are definitely more unique. One standout example is The Complex Lifestyle Store.
Launched in 2010, The Complex Lifestyle Store is a trendy urban retail outlet that houses curated collections from footwear to timepieces. If you are a globetrotter, tech geek, contemporary artist, or high-street purveyor, who is adventurous with style, then this concept store is for you. As its credo says, “The Complex individual’s got good taste, sophistication and isn’t afraid of injecting a little hipster or street cred into the mix.”
In addition to carrying popular footwear brands that like Nike and Polo Ralph Lauren, Complex Lifestyle Store also stocks some uber cool brands such as Sperry Top-Sider, Keds and Onitsuka Tiger. And to complement that spot-on urban look, the shop also features Manila-based labels such as I Love Koi, Zoo and UNSCHLD and a wide range of accessories to give each ensemble THAT final touch.
Since its introduction in Eastwood Mall, the shop has expanded to Alabang Town Center, Festival Mall, and Ayala Center Cebu. Recently, it added its newest hubs in Glorietta 5 and Shangri-la Plaza.
In time with the festive season, the shop has released its Holiday 2013 Lookbook (photos above). Shot on location at Woodlands, Tagaytay, the images feature some of the pieces that the shop stocks. Take a look and simplify your Christmas pleasure!
