As much as we love our moms, there are some thing they do that make us cringe. Read on and see if you can relate to any of them.

They have bad taste in music
Ok, so technically there's no such thing as bad taste in music, but you know what we mean. When your mom picks you up from school blasting soppy love ballads from Foreigner, you'd rather crawl into a hole than get into the car and admit that you're related.

They dress like they're from another era
Maybe your mom has impeccable fashion sense, but the rest of us had to endure mothers who showed up to school wearing mom jeans and the most mismatched tops ever with shoulder pads. Being seen with them used to be the most traumatizing event of your childhood.

They go nuts on Facebook
Facebook used to be cool......that is until our moms joined the social networking site. Getting notifications meant bracing yourself for an embarrassing childhood photo or a smart ass comment on one of your status.

Posting selfies online
Following their discovery of Facebook, it feels like all moms have just discovered the front camera too because they now post multiple selfies online, much to your chagrin. What's worse is that their awkward photos get more likes and comments than your highly edited ones.

They use your pet name in public
Growing up, your mother probably had an affectionate pet name for you. While Pinky might have been cute when you were 6, let's face it, that same name is not going to hold up when you're introducing your boyfriend and your mom keeps calling you Pinky.

Retelling awkward tales of your childhood
"Remember the time you............" Insert most embarrassing moment of your life. That's what moms do best when they're with their friends. It's like it's wired into all moms to try and mortify their kids as much as possible.

If you're a frequent visitor to our site, we know you know it's Mother's Day this Sunday. We shan't remind you of what to do or where to go, we've done that enough already here, here and here. So, instead of telling you how to celebrate the most important woman in your life, we're going to dedicate the next few column inches listing the things our moms do that embarrasses us. Admit it, we've all experienced the embarrassing mom moment at some point in our life.
