"Rubbing or grinding a mole has never transformed it into a cancerous lesion", says Dr Nina Roos, "but it's better to avoid such actions because although the growth is benign, it's better not to traumatize the area around it. "
What will happen if we tear it off? "Obviously, we have to avoid that happening. But if it is pulled unintentionally, it's not a big deal especially if you already know that it is not cancerous. The real risk is that we will end up having an ugly scar," said Dr. Roos. In all cases, it is recommended to regularly have your moles checked by a dermatologist, especially if they change colour or shape.
