Hypnosis: Can we do without a hypnotherapist?

Stop the stereotypes! We can be just as effective without a specialist. However having one can be useful in certain situations.

Bussière) , she helps us to clearly see the practice that can help to alleviate our physical and mental ailments effectively , and without side effects and... at home.

Is it altogether difficult to switch between hypnotherapists in these conditions?

No, I think books like CDs on the subject allow us to practice alone and find ideas for facilitators’ suggestions. However, I would recommend for the person who wants to practice self-hypnosis, and has never before been hypnotized, to go through a singular meeting with a hypnotherapist. He will find the key word or gesture to enter hypnosis more easily. This will serve as a benchmark to assess whether he is actually in a hypnotic state, or simply in one of great relaxation.
