Green Accessories: Kipling launches eco-friendly bag collection

The making of stylish accessories do not necessarily equate to eco-friendly practices, but with Kipling’s latest collection using a special type of fabric, you’ll be glad to know that it is possible to create bags the greener way. The KAEON collection features Kipling’s adoption of the new ‘Aires’ fabric, which incorporates 37% recycled fibres and uses 90% less water during the dyeing process.
Does this compromise on durability and convenience? Definitely not. This eco-friendly collection is said to be not only lightweight but also 100% water-repellent. This is great news for anyone living in Singapore, where the weather is unpredictable at best.
While this groundbreaking collection may be functional and certainly carries a good message regarding greener practices, there is also no doubt that the bags are stylish and contemporary. The KAEON collection consists of handbags, backpacks, totes and clutches, all exuding a playful and vibrant appearance.
