It is not just fashion trends that caught our eye on the catwalks of New York – we also look at the beauty trends which marked the Spring/Summer 2015 season in the Big Apple.

Desigual catwalk
This season, we're loving barrettes and other floral wreaths to enhance our hairstyles. The goal of this trend is to channel a romantic 19th century-inspired look. To rock this trend, dare to wear oversized colourful flower arrangements. As for the makeup, opt for a healthy glow using peachy pink blushes – don’t forget a healthy dose of mascara either!

This year saw the start of a super-chic minimalistic look. Using ultra-flattering products, we can create this super easy no makeup-inspired look . The complexion is blended seamlessly and highlighted to the max for a stunning shine. On the eyes, the focus is on a slightly pink eyeshadow. To create this look, say no to mascara!

Use a coral colour to brighten and enhance your features. For 2015, use coral all over your face at once – on the eyes, on the cheeks and on the lips. For the season, opt for a coral colour that is infused with a caramel tint.

This season, square-inspired hairstyles are super on-trend. To adopt the style, grow your bangs to cover your eyes and eyelashes. Keep the makeup at a minimal. Make sure your foundation looks ultra-natural.

Twice a year, Fashion Week sets the trends that will be followed in the months to come. But the runways are also an opportunity to determine what the hottest beauty trends are. Thus this season saw the start of shaggy hair trend, the wet look, and also a total pink makeup look.

For Spring/Summer 2015, get creative by transforming your looks from day to night using pink shadows, dark contours and orange lips.
