Blue waves
Cobalt, royal blue and turquoise – blue is the hit colour for A/W 14. The key thing to know: Apply the colour onto your eyelid and blend gently to keep the intensity of the pigment.
Soft lilac
Have a romantic winter with a light lilac. Beware of iridescent effects which tend to emphasise wrinkles on the eyelid. Opt for a creamy texture that will provide you with the best subtle hue.
XXL Eyelashes
This is surely the easiest trend to adopt since all you have to do is get a hold of a volumizing mascara. This season, there is no need to add an eyeshadow or pencil – simply, just rock your mascara. Coat your eyelashes with two layers of the product and get rid of any residues with a wet cotton bud.
Classic red lips
An ultimate object of seduction, red lipstick remains the star of the season. Choose a matte or satin texture that features a moisturising agent. Start by applying a concealer around the edges of your lips. Draw the outline of your lips with a pencil in the same shade as your lipstick. With lipstick, start from the centre of the mouth and work outwards. Secure the product with a loose powder for a flawless finish.
Arty liner
Arty liner is not difficult to adopt, we promise! For easy application, you should choose very fine, steady tips that will allow for mistakes to be made. Start by structuring your look with a line along the lash line and let your imagination do the rest.
Grunge-inspired black
To avoid panda eyes, first apply a primer on the eyelid. As seen on the catwalk, apply a generous amount of black eyeshadow all over the eyelid, feel free to play on the intensity by blurring out the edges.
A touch of green
Neon, khaki or pine green is big this season. Line your lashes with a pretty green shade – this colour will flatter those with brown eyes. For even more depth, finish with a gentle touch of black mascara.
Smoky nude
Nude makeup is an art. Use a light brown colour all over the eyelid as a base, then go in with a dark brown and blend it through the crease. The golden rule: always use lighter makeup in the inner corner of the eye, this will give you an awake, bright-eyed look.
Gray nail varnish
Apply “The Fifty Shades of Grey” look to your nails. It is easy to wear – discreet but always elegant. Gray shades will complement those with tanned skin.
Red Manicure
Dark and sexy, red varnish never goes out of style. After applying a protective base, go in with a thin, first coat of varnish. At first it will appear a little transparent. The second layer will make the opaque varnish look stunning and your polish will last longer! To enhance the colour, finish with a top coat.
