You wouldn't imagine champagne and neon looking good together, but on actress Emmy Rossum, it proved to be a winning combination. The American beauty arrived at the 2015 CBS Summer TCA Party last week in an elegant, romantic off-white frock and matched it with a modern makeup look for the night.
Start with a sheer, lightweight BB cream to let the natural glow of your skin shine through. Thick brows are rejoiced for this look, but instead of a defined filled-in brow, use a powder to lightly cover sparse areas before brushing the brush hairs up and outwards with a brow gel for a chic finish à la Cara Delevingne.
Use a flat dense brush to pack on a champagne-gold colour to the centre of the eyelids before distributing the colour to the outer edges of the eyes with a blending brush. Coat the top and bottom lashes with a lengthening and volumnising mascara so you can do without the false lashes.
Give the cheeks a radiant flush with a blush that will subtly complement the bright lip you'll be applying. The sheer, matte neon lip is the star in this look, and you can achieve that easily with a light swipe of a pigmented matte lipstick. Use a minimal amount if it's highly opaque, or even mix it in with your favourite lip balm for a sheer, hydrated finish.
Frame your face with a messy low updo and you'll look perfectly dainty for your next date.
