Circle Mirror Transformation
What: Circle Mirror Transformation

Where: DBS Arts Centre, 20 Merbau Road

Why: A hilarious and heartwarming exploration of lost souls in search of themselves, Circle Mirror Transformation was voted one of the top ten plays of 2009 by Time Out and the New Yorker.

Where: ArtScience Museum, 10 Bayfront Avenue

Why: For one evening a month, ArtScience Museum transforms into a night-time platform for artists in the fields of performance and new media to experiment, explore, discover and challenge their artistic boundaries. Come to a space where interaction, collaboration and experimentation are de rigueur of the night, and chill out with music and our bar overlooking Marina Bay.

Where: Velvet Underground, Zouk Singapore, 17 Jiak Kim StreetWhy: With tunes like ‘Knee Deep In Louise’, ‘Like You’ and ‘Houz Thiz’ released on labels as diverse as Get Physical and Moda Black, remixes for Green Velvet (‘Bigger Than Prince’ Ibiza Anthem & Beatport #1), Rudimental (‘Right Here’ Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune) and Yousef (‘Beg’) – Hot Since 82 has very much established himself as someone with an appeal across the board. With his diversity, he’s been blasting through career milestones like putting together the Essential Mix, scoring gigs at Richie Hawtin’s Enter in Ibiza, Watergate in Berlin, Warung in Brazil, We Love and Fabric in the past 12 months alone, proving that he’s one of the hottest DJ talents around.

What: Lepak at the National Museum

Where: National Museum of Singapore, 93 Stamford Road

Why: Hang out at the movie screening outside the museum. The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie will be playing at 8pm and food buffs will love this French surrealist classic about six friends trying to have dinner together. Oh, and there’s an outdoors craft spirit bar too.

Pig out on the amazing food being served up by the awesome vendors in our food and retail market.

Chill out at the indoor picnic space on level 2, where you can lepak (relax) with all the goodies you just bought.

What: The Mill x WeJungle: Destruction and Rebirth

Why: The Mill and creative collective, WeJungle, embark on a Demolition Art initiative to celebrate beauty amidst chaos - through the charming old bones of an iconic building that has emerged as a creative symbol in a volatile world of creation and destruction. This intervention explores the forces of creation, destruction and preservation in its dynamic and sometimes turbulent interaction, taking the Kabbalic notion of rhythm being the basis of life as the point of departure.
