If you’re looking for an authentic British atmosphere, there’s no need to head to a pub – simply head to the brand new store in town, Jack Wills.

Opening in true English-styled fanfare filled with union jacks, tipples, music and bites, the quintessentially British brand, Jack Wills made its Singapore debut with incredible pomp.

Following weeks of pre-launch promotions with models parading Orchard Road, signature navy blue and pink striped cars whizzing on the roads and brand ambassadors, or sessionnaires, invading universities in Singapore, a huge celebration was definitely in the works and boy did the brand so brilliantly deliver.

As a brand that relies heavily on British heritage and culture, entering the store itself feels like walking through a wardrobe and emerging on the other side into a homely, yet rustic abode in the British countryside. Decked out in union jack curtains, wooden flooring and shelves stocked with authentic books and vintage frames from the United Kingdom, there isn’t anything about the space that doesn’t scream English to you.

Definitively preppy, sporty and laid-back with a fancy side of sophistication, the present apparel selection from the Autumn Winter 2014 and Christmas collection essentially makes for a good fit in Singapore – especially due to the exceptionally soft fabrics that allow for easy layering.

If you find yourself with pieces that need alteration, the in-house tailoring service will proudly take care of all necessary nips and trims. Alongside apparel, the boutique also boasts of a myriad of accessories, shoes, homeware and little knickknacks that could also go as stocking stuffers this season.

Favoured by the likes of royalty, Princes William and Harry, and style icons like Emma Watson and Cheryl Cole, we might just have found a charming new store to add to our weekend shopping jaunts.

Jack Wills is located at Raffles City Shopping Centre, #01-19
