Staff Picks: Marie France Asia's favourite cartoon characters
mis à jour le 3 May 2019 à 17:25We can't deny our love for cartoons and that is why we're not embarrassed to say these characters have always delighted us - from childhood till today.

Since we've talked about childhood memories, we though we might as well relive some of our favourite cartoon show and characters this week. Let's face it, who doesn't love cartoons?
Rana - Editor-in-Chief
Inspector Gadget
"While I'm not really into the whole digital gadgets madness, I do love those tools which Inspector Gadget used to pull from his hat and raincoat. I remember being so fascinated as a kid about how he can fit so many, and have a gadget for every usage imaginable - at any time - from the top fan which helped him fly to the magnifier and even arm extensions. He's definitely always been the most interesting cartoon to watch when I'm in the mood to practice some analytical thinking."

Po from Teletubbies
"I know it's not exactly a cartoon as much as it's people in costumes but this was the one show I watched all the time as a kid. Also since there were four of them and there are of us sibling in my family, with me being the youngest, I always assumed the role of the adorable Po. Now I hardly watch cartoons now but South Park is awesome. Just saying."
Natasha - Fashion & Lifestyle Writer
Doraemon
"Every Sunday morning I would wake up early just to watch Doraemon. Although I'm more of a dog person, I wish I had a real life Japanese cat who can pull out anything from his magic pocket... including a door that serves as instant portal to any place in the world! "
Cheryl - Lifestyle & Beauty Writer
Harley Quinn
"My favourite cartoon character? Does Miss Piggy count as a cartoon character? No? Then I'd have to pick Harley Quinn. She absolutely bonkers!"
Annabelle - Fashion & Beauty Writer
Raven from Team Titans
"My all time weakness for cartoons are those with supernatural powers, and the character who possesses telekinesis always clinches the top position in my superhero hierarchy. To be able move things simply using brain power has been my lifelong dream since young - which may or may not have been attributed to my laziness - and Raven is exactly who I’ve always wanted to be. She was a lovely mix of darkness and quirkiness and had just the right amount of swag needed to balance the childishness of the other titans. Go Teen Titans!"
Karen - Lifestyle & Food Writer
Tintin
"One of the earliest cartoons I recall watching is Tintin, where the teen superhero would embark on exciting adventures across the world, solve mysteries and bring the bad guys to book -mighty exciting stuff when you're 5"
Adeline - Senior Business Development Manager
My neighbour, Totoro
"I'm not a cartoon fan, I didn't even watch cartoons when I was young. And I don't like anything that's cutesy at all.
