Scream Queens
The pitch: a campus, a group of pretty girls, a sorority and a series of murders. This is sheer casting gold by Ryan Murphy, producer of Glee. Essentially there's Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts (American Horror Story), Lea Michele (Glee), Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine), Ariana Grande and Nick Jonas. Honestly, who isn't in it?

Kara leads a quiet life, but only on the surface, because she is none other than the cousin of Clark Kent, or better known as Superman! Apparently superpowers run in the family. With Melissa Benoist (Glee), Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal) and Chyler Leigh (Grey's Anatomy).

Blood and Oil
In search of a new life, Billy Cody Lefever lands in North Dakota, where an oil field has just been discovered. Drama ensues in Dallas, amorous moments intrigues and bad shots are a plenty. Also starring Chace Crawford (Gossip Girl) Amber Valletta (Revenge).

A mini series of 8 episodes that features professional dancers. Flesh and Bone follows the journey of a New York ballerina's troubled past. Sarah Hay, Ben Daniels (House of Cards), Tovah Feldshuh (The Walking Dead) are also in the cast.

Set in 1982, Los Angeles, a series of murders plagues the city while journalists, police and bar tenants bind alliances to stop the culprit. What will result? Only the show would tell. Starring Jeremy Sisto (Six Feet Under), Ed Wetwick (Gossip Girl), Taissa Farmiga (American Horror Story), Jaime Ray Newman (Drop Dead Diva) and Erika Christensen (Parenthood).

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
Rebecca falls for her boyfriend even after 10 years from their break up. Ultimately, a whole lot of laughter and song follows with this musical of a series.

Whether you're a fan of police adventures, drama or brilliant comedy, there's no denying all of that is available from the lineup of American series that's about to hit your screens. Of course, the new additions would also mean that your patience would be duly tested for the new seasons of our favourite shows like Scandal to be released, but at least these would tide you calmly along. And who knows, you might just find another favourite TV series to obsess over!

Big castings

The shows already sound impressive: think serial killers, crazy ex-girlfriends, love affairs and secrets, a hero with super powers, and even a New York ballerina with a troubled past. In addition, some gorgeous actors will be in these series - from Emma Roberts to Calista Flockhart, Pedro Pascal and Chace Crawford.

So the only thing left to do is, note down the timings and prep your bed for some television watching.
