Hossan Leong
Hossan Leong first took his shot at comedy with the Singaporean sitcom Under One Roof. And since then his funny bone has been off the charts, throwing hoardes of people into huge fits of laughter with his uniquely Singaporean sense of humour.

Kumar
The proud and loud Kumar is a comedic genius with his witty and sharp tongued remarks that'll have anyone bending over with belly aches from all that laughing.
Mostly known for flamboyant cross dressing style and picking on people in the audience during shows, Kumar is one comedian that'll rile you up real good and leave you in an ocean of your (happy) tears.

Ministry of Funny
Haresh Tilani co-founder of the YouTube channel, Ministry of Funny literally puts himself out there in the name of comedy. His videos include talking to girls with ridiculous pick up lines, awkwards moments in trains, a cinderella prank and even dressing up as a K-pop star.
While he'll no doubt have you giggling away, perhaps what's most enviable is how he tries to weave in meaningful social messages in some videos - the most endearing being when he gave out flowers to unsung heroes - cleaning aunties and construction workers for instance - during Valentine's Day

Rishi Budhrani
In other words, the Asian Jay Leno. We're pretty sure Rishi has had enough of that nickname but come on, Rishi, the resemblance is uncanny.
In any case, Rishi has been performing since 2011 and is particularly known for mocking racial stereotypes at his effortlessly brilliant shows, served with just the right comedic timing. Consider your funny bone tickled without a doubt.

Sharul Channa
Whoever claims that women can't do comedy should books themselves a seat at one of Sharul Channa's stand up shows. She is one amusing lady who'll put you in fits before you even realise how much you're chuckling away.
Her quips tend to cover women's issues and relationships, supposedly in a bid to sway comedy away from being a male-centric domain.
And if you must know, Sharul is married to Rishi and together they make one impressive comedic and dynamic duo.

Vinesh Nagrani
Or better known as his stage name, Vinny Sharp. Vinny delivers carefully crafted videos on his YouTube channel that are candid in nature but talks about issues relavant to the Singapore culture at home and abroad in London or Manchester (where Vinesh is currently based in).
We particularly enjoy the injections of the different Singaporean characters (all of which are played by him) and how he addresses issues with a witty sense of humour. All of which is topped off with a whole lot of class.

There’s no need to look overseas for your funny bone to be tickled. Here are some of our favourite comics to look out for.

There’s nothing we love more than rolling around in an infectious bout of guffaws and uncontrollable giggles. After all, laughing is good for your health.

So while Russell Peters, who just did his Almost Famous World Tour in Singapore, is one of our favourites with his signature taglines like ‘take it and go’ or “somebody’s gonna get hurt real bad”, there are also equally talented comics right here in our little red dot to snigger along with. Many say that it’s hard to be a comedian here because we’re an unfunny bunch but honestly, as long as you throw in some relatable local-inspired jokes, we bet you everyone will be chortling to no end.

With Comedy Central showcasing more Singaporean comedians on television, The Comedy Club hosting regular slots and YouTube providing an avenue for these hilarious folks to shine, here are just some of our favourite individuals who have been tickling our funny bone one too many times.
