Alex Tang Weihao
We can’t help but gush over Alex’s beautiful illustrations of red-lipped girls in fashionable clothes. His minimalistic style oozes sophistication from every stroke. Oh yeah and he’s also a pharmacist, did we mention that?

André Wee
A graduate of the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design, André’s works have been featured at exhibitions such as Archifest and Roots. Shuttling between Singapore and Brooklyn, he is currently freelancing as an artist. In his spare time, he illustrates stills of everyday life in his notebook and showcases them on Instagram.

Beverly Ng
Enamoured by the complexities of the female form, Beverly’s illustrations are inspired by her exploration of femininity. Her clean illustrative style is juxtaposed by splatters of colours and shapes, giving them a surreal quality. The illustrator is also the creator of jukeboxprints, where she sells her own handmade journals, stickers and prints.

Charlene’s bright energetic illustrations have won her awards and the opportunity to work with clients such as Dove, Konami and Google. A veteran in the advertising industry, she has worked for agencies such as Oglivy Interactive and is currently a freelancer based in Canada.

Esther Goh
You are probably familiar with this illustrator’s work, even if you don’t know it yet. Esther was behind the team that conceptualised the branding for everyone’s favourite customizable sushi store, Maki-San. Her signature surreal illustrations with subdued yet vibrate colouring has won her recognition locally and internationally.

Grace Ciao
Grace’s fashion illustrations are one-of-a-kind. The viral pictures of her use of flower petals in her fashion illustrations made Grace an overnight Internet sensation. Today, she works with the crème de la crème of the fashion and beauty world. Her list of esteemed clients includes Ralph Lauren, SK-II, Chanel and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Kimberly Ann Lim
LASALLE graduate and fashion addict Kimberly turned her obsession into edgy black and white illustrations of fashion models. Gathering inspiration from fashion magazines, her heavy lined pieces have a rough quality that you could see framed up in the home of rock stars like Pete Doherty.

Lesley Tang
This self-proclaimed “nymphed-sized” illustrator has some serious artistic skill. Her surreal drawings originate from her penchant for all things macabre and bizarre. Currently the in-house illustrator for Aww Snap photobooths, Lesley also sells her prints on Etsy and at local art markets.

Mei Kimura
Born and raised in Japan, Mei moved to Singapore at 18 to pursue graphic design in LASALLE. Her specialty is incorporating different mediums, such as embroidery, into her delicate illustrations. Her works can be found in the menus and on the walls at various bars and restaurants such as Mariko’s, Hombre Cantina, Bartini and Scoop.

Sarah Mok
Sarah found some success selling handmade paper products on her website Sarah Thursday back in 2013. Now, in just two years, she has expanded her collection, even retailing T-Shirts and accessories, turning her Victorian Gothic-inspired artwork into a serious brand.

From magazine covers to café walls, the Singaporean design community has been thriving with talented illustrators. Some illustrators have worked with companies while others peddle their wares independently. Either way, this breed of artists is injecting new life into the local art scene.

With platforms such as Instagram and numerous local art fairs, artists are now able to showcase their work while we gape jealously at their talent.
