Staff Picks: Marie France Asia's favourite foundations
mis à jour le 4 May 2019 à 02:01Granted it's hard to find a foundation that works well under Singapore's relentless heat but thankfully we've found some trusted ones.

In Singapore, it's not always easy to find a foundation that won't 'melt' away moments after stepping out of your house. The heat is relentless which is why foundations hardly stay on. However, now with the advent of newer, more innovative foundations that promise medium to high coverage and come with a lightweight texture, the hunt is over - at least for us
So, if you're still in the midst of searching for one, take a look at what the team at Marie France Asia is currently using.

Diorskin Nude Air Serum, approx. SGD88
"I'm not very experimental when it comes to foundations and normally wear very light ones like the Sulwhasoo Evenfair Perfecting Cushion for everyday. However I was intrigued by the Diorskin Nude Air Serum foundation and decided to give it a try and it's safe to say it has jumped to the tops of my foundation list! I love how liquid-y, light and breathable it feels and the fact I only need a few small drops to cover my face. I also like the soft powdery finish which means I skip setting it with loose powder, which normally makes my skin look dry. Certainly recommended!"

L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder Bare Skin Perfecting Makeup, approx. SGD18
"I picked this up on sale at a drugstore in Canada on a whim and boy was I impressed. For most days when I'd rather not pile on products or a heavy duty foundation, this extremely lightweight and easy-to-apply foundation does just the trick. The watery texture may seem questionable at first but when it glides on smoothly and yet manages to offer medium coverage, I'm sold. I finally know what they mean when they claim foundation feels like second skin - this."

NARS All Day Luminous Powder Foundation, approx SGD 60
"I was switching from one heavy liquid foundation to another until I found this lightweight powder by NARS. It works wonders! Like most makeup with a powder texture, NARS' all day Luminous Foundation is light and airy, but it still manages to hide my imperfections. Plus, it's also equipped with SPF."

Innisfree Long Wear Cushion, approx. SGD34
"My current favourite foundation is the Innisfree Long Wear Cushion. It is the only BB cushion that I have used that doesn't leave an overly dewy effect on my skin. As I have oily combination skin, the dewy look does not suit me at all! I love how this cushion mattifies my skin and provides me with the coverage I need. Plus, it doesn't cover up my freckles entirely. Yes, I am a rare Asian that likes to actually see my freckles beneath my makeup."

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Foundation, approx. SGD39
"My favourite foundation has to be the Urban Decay Naked Skin. It has good coverage, feels light on the skin and you don't have to keep layering to get the best results. The matte finish means I don't have to add on powder to complete the look. Best of all, it lasts throughout the day."

Evanose Silk Touche Luxurious Foundation SPF 15, approx. SGD63
"My skin is sensitive and oily and clogs easily. I stopped using foundation for 2 years because of all the unnecessary breakouts. But because of that, my skin tone was uneven and looked dull. I decided looking dull was better than breakouts. Until I discovered Evanose Foundation. It covers imperfections easily, and doesn’t oxidise at all. It is light and glides on easily on my face. There is no need to use primer or whatsoever - I only have to use a good moisturiser and this foundation will do the rest for me. This is perfect for my skin, as my skin needs to be kept as light as possible, if not it will definitely result in clogged pores and breakouts."
