Fountain of Youth: Sulwhasoo Capsulized Ginseng Fortifying Serum

Wrinkles be gone! Korean skincare brand Sulwhasoo captures the efficacies of ginseng for younger looking skin in its latest serum, set for launch this May.

The gnarly root of the ginseng plant has been used as a medicine in China and most of East Asia for over 5,000 years. It is known as an ‘adaptogen’ because it increases the body’s ability to adapt to stress and changing situations. With these multitude of benefits, it was only a matter of time before cosmetic brands tapped into this miraculous herb for it’s incredible healing properties. And Korean skincare brand Sulwhasoo is leading the way in the ginseng fan parade.

Sulwhasoo’s new Capsulized Ginseng Fortifying Serum has successfully captured the efficacies of ginseng to take care of the deep wrinkles caused when skin collapses as it loses elasticity and resilience. As we age, the Dermal-Epidermal Junction (DEJ) – which is the thin layer separating the dermis and epidermis – weakens and becomes more susceptible to the pull of gravity. This is where the Sulwhasoo Capsulized Ginseng Fortifying Serum works to fortify the skin by plumping up lines and wrinkles that have become deeply etched and difficult to repair. The serum is easily absorbed by the skin, leaving it feeling hydrated and firm.

The amazing technology that makes all this possible is Ginsenisphere, which consists of Micro Ginsenisphere and Macro Ginsenisphere. The former allows skin to better absorb the benefits of ginseng by 4 times, the latter is a capsulated form of red ginseng extracts that delivers the polysaccharides in their safest, freshest state.

The serum comes in a transparent bottle so that users can see the capsulized Ginsenispheres. The bottle is, however, coated to withstand UV rays and other potential substances that may damage the Ginsenispheres.

Having been avid fans of the holistic brand’s best-seller Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Cream, we’re surely not going to miss out on this new complementing serum which by the looks of it is going to be another Sulwhasoo must-have. Now excuse us as we hurry to put it to the test and keep tuned for our review soon.

Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Fortifying Serum launches in May at all Sulwhasoo counters and retails at SGD198.
