Swarovski: Bringing fairytale sparkle with Cinderella collection

While the classic Cinderella has the glass slipper as its emblem, the upcoming live-action rendition of the fairytale will see more than just one accessory.
Swarovski has unveiled a collection dedicated to Disney’s most iconic princess, featuring decorative crystals and jewellery with nature-inspired motifs. The dainty fashion accessories come in different shades of crystal namely Vintage Rose and Amethyst. Collectors will take pleasure in the limited editions of a dancing Cinderella figurine and the miniature glass slipper, both faceted in clear crystal with a touch of blue. Needless to say, the crystals are well designed and finely cut, living up to the luxury brand’s reputable craftsmanship.
On top of the romantic jewellery set, Swarovski collaborated with Academy Award-winning costume designer Sandy Powell to design 1.7 million Swarovski crystals for the costumes, hair, makeup, and accessories. Yes, that includes the famous glass slippers and all 221 iridescent facets of them!
When you watch the movie at the cinema tomorrow (March 12th), look out for the grand ball scene. All the 150 tiaras illuminating the room are also Swarovski!
