Our favourite fairytale princess is getting a lot more shoe options beyond the iconic glass slipper she left behind on the steps.

This time Cinderella doesn’t just have a fairy godmother to give her beautiful clothes, a carriage and those exquisite glass slippers but a whole team of luxury shoe designers to give her more than one option in the footwear department.

In celebration of the first live-action film adaptation of the classic Cinderella fairytale starring Cate Blanchett and Lily James, Disney enlisted nine fashion designers to create their interpretations of the iconic glass slipper. Handpicked by Disney, the designers who’ll be adding to Cinderella’s shoe wardrobe are Nicholas Kirkwood, Jimmy Choo, Charlotte Olympia, Salvatore Ferragamo, Jerome Rousseau, Stuart Weitzman, Paul Andrew, Alexandre Birman and Rene Caovilla.

While designers in the past, namely Marc Jacobs and Louboutin have created their versions of the fictional shoe, these nine designs are an official Disney collaboration to be sold in shops around the world such as Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, Harrods in London, Galeries Lafayette in Paris and Isetan in Tokyo. And for that little bit of fairy dust, Swarovski provided just the right sparkle to the shoes. Glass, what?

“Each pair of shoes in this exciting global collection captures Cinderella’s elegance and grace through the lens of celebrated designers, making this shoe collection truly fit for a princess,” said Jonathan Symington, vice president and general manager, licensing, Disney Entertainment at Disney Consumer Products.

Just like the movie, the shoes are set to hit stores in March 2015 and while there’s no midnight deadline, the pieces are limited edition so be sure not to leave them at the store for an evil ‘stepcustomer’ to snatch.
