How do you fancy having some of your favourite sushi on your nails? Here’s the latest nail trend to hit Asia.

Sushi addicts and manicure lovers listen up, a trend that combines both of your passions has gone viral on social media in Japan: sushi nail art.

The traditional Japanese dish is now an inspiration for manicures. This quirky trend was born from twitter when Ayamon, a Japanese user, posted three photos of her self-made sushi nail art. This tweet instantly went viral with over 10,000 re-tweets in a few days.

So, from now on, your nails can resemble your favorite tasty sushi roll – from octopus squid, tuna, or salmon to sea urchin and so on. It’s even possible to get three-dimensional sushi nails, and the results are pretty impressive.

This may be bizarre to some but it’s definitely fun and original! We’re definitely going to give it a try…
