OH! Open House
When: 24 to 25 March
Where: Emerald Hill

Why: Delve into the history behind the iconic neighbourhood of Emerald Hill on this art walkabout. Although it's now better known for its bars and restaurants and its vibrant and postcard-perfect row of Peranakan shophouses,, the area was actually a former nutmeg plantation steeped in Singapore's history. Take your pick from any of its three 30-minute tours and an exhibition that lets you actually tour into the various residents' homes to check out the art installations, as well as performances by esteemed Singaporean artists like Tan Kheng Hua and South Korean artist Ju-Ae Park, among others. Challenging Beauty: Insights into Italian Contemporary Art
When: 17 March to 19 August
Where: Parkview Museum

Why: This exhibition, curated by internationally acclaimed curator and art historian Lorand Hegyi, is the first major contemporary Italian art exhibition in Singapore. You can expect fascinating and eclectic art pieces from artists like Aldo Mondino and Giuseppe Gallo among others, spanning various artistic moments in Italy - a definite must-see for any art-lovers or otherwise. Where: Esplanade Theatres on the Bay

Why: Grammy Award-winning act Tinawiren returns to our shores over a decade later to bring their folk and blues sounds. More information here.

Art-Zoo Inflatable Park
When: Until 1 April
Where: The Float @ Marina Bay

Why: Here's something that your kids (and the kid in you) will enjoy. Art-Zoo Inflatable Park describes itself as both "an experiential inflatable playground and art installation in the setting of a zoological garden". The inflatable park returns in conjunction with i Light Marina Bay 2018 and features a fresh and original line-up of 15 new inflatables for your enjoyment! More information here.

National Geographic's Ocean Wonders
When: Until 20 May
Where: SEA Aquarium, Resorts World Sentosa

Why: Explore the wonderful world of sharks and marine creatures at National Geographic's first-ever Ocean Record Breakers exhibition. Some of its highlights include getting up-close with the sand tiger shark, opportunities to capture professional shots of the aquarium, and a full-day workshop that includes guided tours, exclusive documentary screenings and other interactive activities in both the S.E.A Aquarium and newly-revamped Maritime Experiential Museum.

i Light Marina Bay
When: Until 1 April
Where: Marina Bay

Why: It's officially that time of the year again where Marina Bay lights up for its annual sustainable light art festival. This year's display spans over three weeks and four festival zones from Marina Bay all the way to Esplanade Park. Snap away as you take in the installations (there are over 20 of them - FYI) created using energy-efficient lights and eco-friendly materials. More information here.

Stories That Matter: Borders
When: Until 24 March
Where: Objectifs Centre for Photography & Filmmaking

Why: This special series of documentary screenings shed light on some of the most crucial social issues, like the American civil rights movement, the European refugee crisis and Brexit and features the Singapore premieres of five critically-acclaimed movies like Raoul Peck's 'I Am Not Your Negro' and Syrian filmmaker Ziad Kalthoum's 'Taste of Cement'.

True Colours Festival
When: 23 to 25 March
Where: Singapore Indoor Stadium

Why: We love the entire concept behind this inaugural three-day performing arts festival, which showcases the extraordinary work of artists with disabilities. There's a multimedia concert featuring dance troupes, film screenings and more. More information here.
