i Light Marina Bay is set to ignite the waterfront with sustainable light art

Expect a variety of gorgeous light installations designed by local and international artists.

The awe-inspiring i Light Marina Bay festival has been wowing us since 2010. This year, the light-up will run from 3 to 26 March and will showcase a slew of 20 brilliant sustainable light art installations around the Marina Bay waterfront, all guaranteed to charm and delight your little ones, as well as make for great photo opportunities.

For the first time since its debut five years ago, the festival will feature 3 distinctly themed hubs that serve to create a fun and festive atmosphere to enhance the overall experience. Expect a variety of eco-workshops, family-friendly activities, kid zones, music, and great food and beverage options.

The installations, created by international and local artists (including pieces designed by students from National University of Singapore, LASALLE College of the Arts, and Nanyang Polytechnic, to name a few), are designed with the environment in mind, which means energy-saving lighting and “green” materials are used. The showcase aims to drive home a reminder to festival goers that they should adopt sustainable habits in their everyday lives, as well as to invite the public to consider the relationship between what is constructed and what is natural.
