6 Streetstyle trends at Milan Fashion Week Spring 2016

updated the 3 May 2019 à 15:44

Wondering what was in the streetstyle stakes during MFW? We fill you in.

Neck scarves

If none of the trends at Milan Fashion Week float your boat, look no further than the streets for the best real-life style action. Italy’s top fashion favourites came out of hiding over the past week and brought their best outfits forward for a dazzling display of fresh ensembles and revisited past styling ideas.

This time, the classics made a comeback alongside new habits and accessories. Matching printed suits and their monochrome counterparts made for easy outfit pairings and not much else to adorn with, inspiring us to follow suit in the effortless devil-may-care mannerisms. As we’ve highlighted before (and perhaps predicted, even), necklaces are being replaced by the chic bohemian skinny scarf and cowboy bandana. Streetstylers were in high spirits with the look, which can be adopted in any weather – including ours! A printed bandana tied into a diagonal piece could even double as a mask in the haze.

Scroll through all the top looks above so you don’t miss any of the best MFW streetstyle.
