Last year, on the International Day of Happiness, the United Nations unified us to dance to Happy by Pharrell Williams. This year, the UN invites us to the dance floor with an entire playlist of happy songs. You can nominate songs by using the hashtag #HappySoundsLike and see if they make it to the playlist later today.

“We are using the universal language of music to show solidarity with the billions of people around the world who are suffering from poverty,  human rights abuse, humanitarian crises and the effects of environmental degradation and climate change,” said the Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, in a video. His song of choice was Signed, Sealed, Delivered  by Stevie Wonder.

The actor Michael Douglas chose Zip-a-dee-doo-dah by James Baskett, singer James Blunt chose We Are Young by Fun and actress Charlize Theron went with Every Teardrop is a Waterfall by Coldplay. Now it’s your turn, which song makes you the happiest?

The playlist will be available for free listening on MixRadio music streaming service. For more info please visit www.happysoundslike.com
