These famous faces are now the queens of fashion, but back in the day they had a few fashion mishaps too. Can you guess the celebrity behind these vintage looks?

We've all been there before: coming across a picture of ourselves from 5, 10, 15 years ago that makes us cringe and look over our shoulders to make sure no one caught a glimpse of our embarrassing choice of garb. The advent of Facebook and the ability to be tagged online has only made matters worse. It means our fashion faux pas from aeons ago is now online for everyone to see and will remain there even after we're long gone.

We can however take comfort in the fact that unlike celebrities, our fashion mishaps will never be splashed across tabloids and magazines for the world to see. Indeed, before personal stylists were a thing, many celebrities had to dress themselves.

For every star who pulled it off, there were five others whose love for bling, leather and over-the-top fashion trends of the moment make for embarrassing walks down memory lane.
