A pink Christmas with Guerlain

Take a risk and get an out of the ordinary Paris-inspired holiday look with Guerlain’s ‘Crazy’ collection. Here’s how...
Glamorous, fresh and unexpected are just a few words to describe Guerlain’s latest Christmas collection which took inspiration from ‘The City of Light’, Paris.
From the brand’s star product – the iridescent powder to pink eyeshadow, neon nails and beautiful electric black packaging – the limited edition ‘Crazy Paris’ collection is elegant yet daring, making it perfect to complement any classic LBD for the festive occasions.
Not sure how to rock those colours? We speak to Guerlain’s Senior Makeup Artist, Branxus, who shows us how to create a perfect holiday look using the Christmas collection:
Crazy Paris look
The Eyes:
Branxus: “The Crazy Paris eye palette (approx. USD91) is very versatile and can be mixed and matched to create different looks, but for today, we will focus on the pink and black. As many Asian women are afraid of applying pink on their eyes assuming that it will make them look 'puffy', we suggest they take a leap of faith and try this shade pink as it is very flattering and suitable for all skin tones.”
1- Take the pink shade and apply it to your entire eyelid, and the champagne colour to highlight your brow bone to brighten up your eyes.
2- Dab the black eyeshadow and apply it at the crease to create a contrast and a very slight smoky effect.
3- Using the grey shadow, draw your eyeliner top and bottom.
4- It is very important to apply mascara to frame your eyes for the final effect.
Expert’s tip: You can apply the mascara at the beginning of the process as it would guide you on how much eyeshadow to use. It will also prevent the powder from falling onto your cheeks and under the eyes, saving you some touch-ups.
The Face and Lips:
1- Proceed to apply Météorites Crazy Pearls (approx. USD60) on your t-zone to illuminate and make your features more prominent, and add a subtle radiance on your face.
2- Next, apply Crazy Terracotta Healthy Glow Powder (approx. USD79): This product can be used like a blusher for a healthy glow, or a contouring powder, just draw a '3' shape on both sides of your face inwards to create a nice contour.
3- Lastly, apply Rouge G de Guerlain in shade 863 (approx. USD63): For deep-coloured lipstick like this, apply your lipstick in the centre of your lips, then slowly smudge it outwards for a more voluminous, pouty lips. Repeat if the colour is not dark enough.
