Got a special event planned? Recreate Amal Clooney’s 2015 Golden Globes makeup look for a touch of old Hollywood glamour.
While Amal Clooney’s simple choice of a black Dior Haute Couture gown did not exactly leave us itching for more, her old Hollywood glamour-inspired makeup look was nothing short of perfection. The newly married human rights attorney unsurprisingly looked beautiful in a deep berry red lip, complemented with flawless skin and bronzed eyeshadow.
To recreate the look, use a heavy duty foundation as your base to a clear complexion. If you intend to wear this look for a few hours, you may want to apply a primer beforehand to ensure it stays. When the foundation has been seamlessly blended, simply apply an under-eye concealer in a triangle shape. Make sure this shade is 1 – 2 hues lighter than your skin tone and blend with your ring finger or brush to ensure there are no fine lines. Finish off the complexion with a baked bronzer and blush duo. The Too Faced Soulmates blushing bronzer is the perfect match.
As for the eyes, all you need to do is sweep on a light layer of a golden-bronze eyeshadow. Complement this colour with some individual false lashes and some mascara on the bottom lashes – can we say stunning?
Finally, finish the look by sweeping on a berry-red lipstick all over your lips. Tip: line your lips with a lip liner if your lipstick tends to bleed or run.
