For your fix of bold, audacious designs that seek to be conversation starters, look to Singaporean label, Vice and Vanity.

Accessories have built up quite the reputation over the years. It’s either you accessorise or you go home. The one label that we have repeatedly gone back to for our accessory fix is Singaporean brand, Vice and Vanity, for their avant-garde and quirky designs.

Designers, Vivi Lim and Aaron Kao have an astute taste for everything out of the ordinary and it plays off well for the team because the pieces are constantly flying off the shelves. By pushing typical design boundaries and entering uncharted territories, the label has established an international name for themselves for their quintessentially industrial vibe. Whether it’s cotton robe, sculpted wooden blocks or metal bits, there is definitely going to be one unconventional material ready to grace your neck.
Naysayers may take a backseat because the idiosyncrasies have bided well for the label with collaborators lining up for a slice of the Vice and Vanity pie. From a bag line for Singaporean label, Saturday, to a shoe line for New York based label, Simona Vanth, to a capsule collection for Charles & Keith, we doubt the team has received much shuteye since opening but the excitement is bound to make up for the lack of.

Right now, we’re eagerly awaiting the release of their next collection and be sure to keep those fingers and cards ready because we’ll be in it for the race to a Vice and Vanity prized accessory as much as the next fan.

Vice and Vanity is available on Shopthemag.com and at Club21 outlets.
