Why we love it:
Do we really need a reason to describe our love for a Chanel timepiece? To put it simply, they’re sheer masterpieces in innovation, design and luxury.
Inspired by the army – akin to how Coco Chanel was inspired by military wardrobes – the watch reinvents NATO, which is a specific watch strap created by the British Army. While it’s designed to resist all extreme conditions, the watch is far from rugged. Instead, Chanel added a beautiful touch of unparalleled luxe and femininity to the design. The nylon strap was replaced with alligator leather and the steel loops are exquisitely set with nine diamonds each. To put luxury into perspective, the entire watch has a total of 96 diamonds – clearly there is no end to the lavish factor here.
We may not be as frequent wearers of watches per se but when a timepiece like this pops up on our screen, one can’t help but lust for one of them to wrap our wrists ever so delicately. Sneaking a look at the time on the J12-G.10 would also make the frantic morning rush a little more bearable and dazzling to say the least.
