OOTD from Marie France Asia: For the love of denim

Ever since we saw Katy Perry and Riff Raff carry out the best fashion throwback at the recent VMAs – by emulating the iconic Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake denim-on-denim look – we couldn’t help but attempt this look for ourselves.

Some call it the Canadian Tuxedo but if you play with denim correctly, there’s no harm to the outfit. Still, it’s crucial to avoid looking like you’re wrapped up in one lump or layer of denim and the trick is to work around different shades and washes of denim in your outfit. Here we’ve chosen a dark wash for the jeans to contrast with the lighter toned top and to pull it altogether, a medium wash clutch bag.

Still, if you want to keep the denim to a minimal, then switch out the denim clutch for an equally stunning black box clutch and you’re good to go!
