Making a statement: Baguera Vectory Kaleidoscopic clutch

By now it’s evident that we love a good statement piece – whether it comes in the form of earrings, necklaces, shoes or bags – we can trust them to complete our outfits and give it the necessary sartorial punch it deserves.

This time to fulfill our statement cravings, we landed on Singapore-based site, The Bag Asthete and unearthed the award-winning Portuguese label, Baguera. Revered for their bright and edgy aesthetics, the brand has quite the knack for delivery striking works of art in the bag department – so much so that if you don’t want to carry them, they would do just fine sitting on your shelf.

The prism-like minaudieres come in hypnotic geometric shapes and also feature an innovative play of materials like pleather, acrylic and metal. Our personal favourite is the Vectory Kaleidoscopic clutch that comes in a vibrant sunny yellow hue, contrasted with navy and pink for the perfect quirky kick.

If you’re one to fear the bold, clashing colours then know that it lies in a careful balancing act to appropriately pull your look together without looking like a ball of rainbow coloured confetti. Essentially, keep your outfit to neutrals like white, beige, cream, grey or black, paired with distressed denim jeans and a pair of strappy sandals. For a night out, the bag will go just as well with a neutral-hued dress.
