Get the look: Chanel’s cat eyes

Cat eyes with a twist – as usual the Chanel Haute Couture SS14 caused a sensation not just for the clothes, but also for the makeup look. Here’s how to copy it!
Impossible to miss at the latest Chanel Haute Couture Spring Summer 2014 show were the wild hairstyles with twists, the ultra sophisticated outfits and of course the ‘babydoll retro’ makeup look. And while wearing such outfits or sporting the wild hairstyle might not be possible off the runway, we can at least copy the sublime makeup look. Easy to reproduce, it is an absolute statement to don for an elegant evening or a party with friends!
Our tips to achieve the look:
1- After preparing the skin, draw a thick line of black matte kohl eyeliner on the upper eyelid and twist it up slightly at the outer corner of the eye.
2- Then highlight a line of silver glitter eyeliner or face glitter at the base of the lower lashes.
3- Intensify the look with two or three layers of black mascara.
4- Finally, apply a very light pink blush on the cheekbones, and finish with cool pink or nude lips to avoid an OTT effect!
