Instead of getting overwhelmed or bogged down, here are some tips to handle stress better.

stress

These days, too many people are bogged down with anxiety, tension and being strained from excessive work load. So much so that it even becomes difficult to decide when enough is finally enough.

What happens when you’re stressed?

Fatigue, irritability, immune and nutritional deficiency, stomach ulcers, back pain, gynecological problems, depression, accelerated aging.

What can be done?

Various studies have recently examined the relationship between self-efficacy and stress. First observations saw individuals with higher self-efficacy appearing much less stressed than others. “That’s because, instead of fleeing reality by taking refuge in illusory solutions (alcohol), all have used problem-solving strategies to improve their situation,” Says Jacques Lecomte.

To actually reduce the risk of burnout, another good trick is to learn to control your emotional reactions. So when you face an anxiety-producing situation, do not interpret your physiological feelings (palpitations, tremors, sweating…) as signs of vulnerability that could increase your stress level. Tell yourself that your body does everything possible to make you more effective in the given situation.
