When in doubt, wear all black. Channel your inner goth as Givenchy’s models did for the Fall 2015 runway and wear your best black suit to the office. Don’t worry, the brooding darkness should only be worn on the outside, since you’re ready to end the work week and tackle the weekend with positivity.
Steering away from the typical blazer-and-trousers combo, bring the suit up a notch by doing without the white shirt altogether and opt for a lightweight wrap top instead, paired with a girly yet sophisticated mermaid skirt. Keep the hem to just at the knees or higher, to avoid looking too frumpy. Going for different fabrics will prevent the ensemble from looking too flat despite the monochrome flow.
For shoes, dare to add some toughness with black patent leather ankle boots that give you confidence with every step. Accessorise minimally with a pair of drop studs with eye-catching Swarovski crystals so you’ll get second glances every single time. We don’t recommend a septum ring as seen on the runway – let those be reserved for the eager teens of today. Adorn just one dainty finger with an edgy black ring, and you’re ready to take charge.
