Get the Look: Valentino’s sweet summer pastels

The Italian couture house shows us how to mix seasons in the same outfit – perfect for the recent cooling showers on our sunny island.
This week, Valentino‘s power duo Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli show us how to get into the swing of mixing Spring and Fall in the same outfit. With the cosy morning showers upon us on our usually-sunny island, what better way to incorporate heavy duty fabrics like leather into our ensembles?
If the sweet preacher’s daughter look isn’t for you, the signature haphazardly cool fashion editor flair is easy to recreate with some simple styling. Mimic the macaron-hued blouse on the runway with a mint paper-thin sweater (with sleeves rolled up, no less) by T by Alexander Wang, and tuck the front portion messily into a brown leather midi skirt. Show off a little of your tough girl aesthetic with a pair of studded stacked heels in a sooty grey colour.
An embellished Swarovski headband and multi-pearled ear studs will add the perfect delicate finish to this look. While we think the milkmaid braids might be a little too prim for the office, they might come in handy when it starts getting hot out!
