Ocean of Flowers by Li Hongbo
Don’t be fooled by the beautiful landscape of paper sculptures sprawling across the space. When flattened, Li’s brightly coloured flowers are revealed as cut outs of weapons such as bullets, handguns and AK47s, leaving you to ponder the destruction that hides beneath all things beautiful.

Delight by Yves Moreaux
Inspired by his travels in Singapore, Moreaux created an imaginative lightshow especially for the ACM building. The digital collage involves locally inspired prints and music. Relax on the lawn and enjoy the captivating show with the scenic Singapore River as your backdrop.

The Rodière brothers combine their skills as a designer and a programmer to create this light and sound installation that the public can interact with. Play with the light and sound of 160 light bars that covering an area of over 50 metres.

Les Voyageurs by Cédric Le Borgne
Escape the bustle of the Singapore River as the whimsical sculptures of Le Borgne transport you to a dreamy Neverland. Made from chicken wire, these ephemeral ‘travellers’ will be hanging from trees and hanging out on the lawns, so be sure to keep an eye out.

Music, Movies and Magic by T’ang Quartet
The acclaimed T’ang Quartet will perform an accompaniment as the silent film classic The Haunted House (1921) is screened. With the movie and their performance, this show will be sure to take you back in time.

From 23 to 31 October, the Singapore River will be set alight with the various creative visions of River Nights 2015.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a host of activities from art installations to musical performances at River Nights. Themed ‘Colours of Life’ the festival aims to celebrate the Singapore River as the nation’s lifeline as well as the Empress Place area.

“River Nights is for Singaporeans and visitors to enjoy our beautiful garden city,” said festival co-director Dr Lim Chye Hong, “This is a place making initiative to elevate the Empress Place precinct to its rightful role in the Singapore fabric as a creative playground.”

This is River Night’s second year running and is organised by the Asian Civilization Museum in collaboration with the National Arts Council, National Parks Board, Singapore River One and Hermes.

Singapore River Nights 2015 will be held from 23 October to 31 October around the Asian Civilisation Museum. Admission is free.
