Taiwanese heartthrob Jay Chou couldn’t have given himself a better birthday present than to exchange vows with his missus. in a beautiful wedding that seemingly came straight from a dream.

Mandopop superstar Jay Chou shattered the hearts of numerous fangirls as he tied the knot with Taiwanese-Australian celebrity Hannah Quinlivan in a fairytale wedding in Yorkshire, England. Everything about the wedding was dreamy — from the 36-year-old singer himself, Hannah’s wedding dress, the venue Selby Abbey, to the 20-member orchestra performing the song he wrote for her on the big day.

Just like how the Chous have kept their relationship of four years low-key, the wedding was also a private affair. Among other guests were 50 family members. But even low-key in the King of Mandopop’s term is being a trending topic on social media. The wedding has been searched 520 million times just on the Chinese social network Weibo alone. The SGD417,000 nuptial, which happened on January 17th (18th Taiwan’s time), coincides with the groom’s birthday — a costly yet memorable gift for Jay.

Hannah walked down the aisle, hand-in-hand with her father, wearing a grand white dress with a heart-shaped cutout. Meanwhile, the groom kept it dapper with a tuxedo with golden linings and embroideries. The 21-year-old pop idol was moved to tears when Jay Chou got down to one knee and fireworks lit up the sky, and again when she exchanged vows and rings with him at the altar, in front of a Taiwanese pastor. We can only imagine the overwhelming feeling of marrying the biggest name of Mandopop!

After proposing to and marrying Hannah in the England, Jay Chou will also be having his honeymoon with his Mrs. in the UK. We wish the newly weds a great journey ahead!
