Louis Vuitton present their third collection of scarves revisited by 3 contemporary street artists. Beautiful works of art to tie around your neck this summer!

Louis Vuitton might be the trunk masters but every now and then they rely on contemporary visual artists, such as Takashi Murakami, to compose bold capsule collections. In that perspective, the French luxury house has started the “Artist Scarves” collection for the past three seasons; This year led by the French graffiti artist André Saraiva, the American Kenny Scharf and Chilean street artist  INTI.

INTI clearly draws his inspiration from the cultural heritage of his country, especially his monumental frescoes which still mesmerise thousands of tourists every year.

Californian Kenny Scharf discards the traditional scarf codes, by placing several cosmic elements with pop culture references on a psychedelic background.

Finally, the French André Saraiva twists the famous Monogram shawl by splashing paint in the background, on which is grafted his iconic and popular character Monsieur A (Mr. A), with the uneven eyes.

We can’t wait for these wearable works of art to hit the stores and grab ourselves – or our loved ones – a collectable item to cherish forever!

The Artist Scarves will be available at all Louis Vuitton stores from April 2014.
