You might not be able to afford an Hermès Birkin, but it looks like you can now very well sink your teeth into a Birkin cake.

Introducing Kuala Lumpur-born cake artist, Liew Man Kwan. The mother-of-four, who is the creative mind and cake whiz behind Malaysian-based cake store PassioNate Cakes, has carved a niche for herself in design bespoke 3D sculpted cakes. The newest addition to her portfolio? An intricately detailed Hermès Himalaya 25 Birkin.

To say that Liew is a cake artist extraordinaire is an understatement; her designs are architecturally impressive, consisting of multi-tiered cake creations with intricate details that include dragons, exquisite 3D flower details, and more. The Birkin cake is no exception; a close look will have you realise that everything, from its crocodile skin to the signature Birkin padlock, is realistically replicated.

WANNA LEARN HOW TO BAKE YOUR OWN BIRKIN?

Why a Birkin, you might ask? The inspiration behind the cake isn’t so clear, though considering how the bag has been making political headlines as of late in Malaysia, it’s safe to say we can draw to a conclusion ourselves.

If you want to learn the tricks of the trade and create your very own impressive designer cake, here’s good news. Liew will be conducting classes on how to recreate this particular Himalaya 25 Birkin in Singapore, Malaysia and Bali from July to August, so be sure to sign up for them.

In the meantime, be our guest in feasting your eyes in her drool-worthy cake creations in the gallery above.
