Packing for the beach can be a chore and there is a list of essential items you cannot forget. Swimsuits, sandals, sunscreen, shorts, have you thought of everything? What about taking the essential oils?

Today, essential oils are necessary in the art of caring for the body. There are the classics like argan, jojoba, olive and the more unusual ones such as rose, lavender or hazelnut. Some of them can do everything and others are specifically formulated for the body, face, hair and even some exclusive to beauty routines such as makeup removal. So which ones to look for? Here’s our guide:

All-in-one oils:

Generally these are multi-functional and leave you with a dry texture. They penetrate very well and leave no oily finish on the skin. A true all-in-one that can be applied on the body, hair or as a repairing serum for nails and cuticles.

For the hair:

In the summer, the hair faces many factors which effect its health and look; from the sea, the sun and repeated washings after returning from the beach etc. The oil will help nourish and protect it. Apply it before shampooing – by itself or under a hot towel – or as a protective serum before blow drying or once you finish styling to give it more shine. A warning: hair oils are dry-textured but still oily, so avoid the roots of the hair and be more generous with the lengths and the ends.

For the body:

This oil is a hydrating bath to get rid of crocodile-textured skin. It immediately gives a burst of hydration with its regenerative properties. After application, the skin will be soft and nourished. And if you’re tanned, the oil will enhance and refine your tan.

On the face:

Apply a few drops of either the multi-functional oil or one that is specifically for the face. Spread and massage it on the entire face for full absorption.

What if I have oily skin?

Yes, you can still use it too, but use only a dry oil and just a few drops of it a few times a week. Make sure it is non-comedogenic.

What about using oil for cleansing?

Yes it can be used for that too. The oil is truly a miracle product. Apply the multi-functional oil with a cotton pad and rinse well. For cleansing oils, a few sprays in the palm of your hand, lather and rinse.

Now you are definitely ready for the beach!
