updated the 6 October 2015 à 23:20Whether you have long, short, straight or curly hair, discover how you can pull off this effortless and cool hairdo: the half bun.
At the mall, in a club or on the streets, chances are you have spotted guys sporting this season’s latest hairstyle which is comprised of shaved sides and a half-up do with a top knot.
Well girls, we can pull it off too, in a more feminine way of course. The best thing about the half bun is not needing a multitude of hair styling tools to style it. In fact, if you find yourself with a bad hair day, the half bun makes for a reliable rescue because whether you have long, short, straight or curly hair, all you need is a rubber band.
Tips to pull off the half chignon :
– Do not wash your hair right before sweeping it into a half bun. An unbrushed, messy mane will make for a more glamorous bun.
– If you have very smooth and fine hair, apply some dry shampoo to give it some texture.
– Take 1/4 of your hair, including bangs, tie it into a bun on the crown of your head or lower, towards the nape. It depends on what look you want to achieve.
– Finish off with a little hairspray to secure your new hairdo!
