We pick 5 write-home-worthy brunch places in Singapore that’ll give you and mum ample time to bond whilst leisurely filling your bellies with some of the best food around.

We all know there’s a gastronomic goddess inside each mother of ours, which is why we miss home-cooked food so much when we’re away. This upcoming Mother’s Day Sunday, treat your mum to a spectacular brunch she won’t forget, as a way of saying thank you for all the effort she puts in at the kitchen and for everything else she’s done.

1)   Mezza9 Grand Hyatt Singapore’s Sunday Champagne Brunch is a true homage to what ‘a spread fit for a king’ is all about. With nine sections of food, including Thai, Japanese, seafood, steam basket, a deli patiserrie and bar, its dining experience is truly unparalleled. Apart from the impressive array of food options and show kitchens, that allow you to watch the chefs prepare the mouthwatering food you’re having, the lively ambience, nestled in the orchard road area, make it a great place to eat at. If your belly allows it, you can work some of it off later by going for a spot of post-feast shopping with mum.

2)   For a truly unconventional brunch experience, take mum to The Westin Singapore for ‘The Brunch Beats’ Champagne Brunch. Enjoy a generous spread of seafood, featuring the best catch – king crabs, lobsters and prawns galore, sushi, a glorious selection of meats, sublime desserts and not to mention free-flow Veuve Cliquot champagne, with the calming view of Singapore’s southern coast area and deep house blues resonating from resident DJ Lindo Martinez’s booth, helping you unwind and release any tension accumulated during the week.

The Brunch Beats costs S$158++ per pax. Check out the Mother’s Day deal here

3)   The Line at Shangri-La Hotel is the epitome of the classically elegant buffet brunch experience that Singapore hotels pride themselves on. Despite the exceedingly posh ambience and French windows displaying a pretty garden and pond view, the buffet is more affordable than most Sunday brunches and is totally and utterly worth it. Boasting 16 different types of cuisines and a delectable selection of pastries and desserts, topped off with free-flow Moët & Chandon champagne, The Line is another great option for a Mother’s Day brunch.

The Line’s Sunday champagne brunch costs S$138++ per pax.

4)   For a more tranquil, out-of-the-city dining environment, possibly as a prelude to a lazy day at the beach with some cocktails or a spa, The Sentosa, A Beaufort Hotel, is another fabulous Sunday brunch option. What’s unique about the brunch experience here is that you have the choice to eat out in the open (albeit under shade to block out the heat) surrounded by lush greenery and overlooking the pool at Beaufort Hotel. Apart from an extensive selection of gourmet food, the Beaufort brunch has an entire separate dessert room, which is as exciting for a kid as it was for me. Fondue, cheese, pastries and cakes galore, the dessert room also has a do-it-yourself station for you to try your hand at decorating your own cupcakes and desserts. Whilst you feast on kebabs, lobsters and chicken rice, don’t be surprised by the gorgeous peacocks casually walking around.

Brunch at The Sentosa, A Beaufort Hotel costs $152 with champagne, wines, beers, soft drinks, orange juice and mineral water and $108 with non-alcoholic beverages.

5)   Ritz Carlton Millenia’s The Greenhouse’s brunch boasts a smorgasbord of praiseworthy food options, each offering generous helpings of delectable goodness. This buffet brunch also offers a stunning variety of amazing cheeses to complement the vintage Moët & Chandon champagne. Eat to the brim in an impossibly stylish setting and be serenaded by the live music as you let your gastronomic senses be taken over. Despite being considerably more expensive than most champagne brunches, the quality and service make it utterly worth it.

Ritz Carlton Millenia’s The Greenhouse’s brunch costs $168++ per pax with free-flow champagne.
