Valentine’s Day is closing in on us and just as we are done casually placing hints around our beau, it is time we nailed down our look for the night. Single ladies need not retreat to the bedroom though. With our line up of things to do, you’ll be dressing up to the nines as much as your attached girlfriend is.

Whether you are looking to play up your lips, lashes or nails, we’ve got the tricks to create an impeccable look that your date (or potential date) won’t bat an eyelid at.

Lavish Lips

The one shade you should be flaunting on Valentine’s Day is a lip-smacking red and if getting the perfect long lasting red pout is worrying you then follow these simple steps like the pros do:

1. Apply one coat of red lipstick

2. Peel off one layer of a 2-ply tissue and place it on top of your lips

3. Dust loose powder on the tissue

You may repeat the steps with a second layer of lipstick but either way you’re set for date night where your lips will be impervious to eating and sticking on champagne glasses. To ensure kissability, remember to give those a lip a little scrub-me-down as well!
