DIY facial: Step 2 - Which face mask to choose?
mis à jour le 7 October 2015 à 00:02
Facial masks are plenty yet picking the right one for your skin type and concern is essential. Here's our recommendation.
Facial masks are at the core of any DIY beauty treatment so picking the right one for your skin type is essential and makes all the difference. And sheet masks are especially easy to apply and convenient.
After properly cleansing your skin, identify what your main concern is and what problem you want to tackle and choose your mask accordingly. Remember the more targeted you are, the better results you'll get.
To help you further, we pick our favourite face masks from Qoo10 Singapore:
- For whitening/anti ageing: SKII Facial Treatment Mask
This 100% cotton mask infuses the skin with vitamins, amino acids and minerals to treat de-hydration instantly and brighten the skin at the same time.
- For daily use: MIZON Ampoule Essential Sheet mask
Rich in Hyaluronic acid, this mask is an instant perk-me-up which leaves your skin feeling supple and smooth.
- For various concerns: TheFaceShop – Real Nature Mask
We are big fans of TheFaceShop masks for they are convenient and very effective. With the wide variety of nature masks targetting different concerns, you'll be spoilt for choice! However our favourite has to be the good old Aloe Vera for extra moisture and the Red Ginseng which is packed with nutrients.
- For firming: Dermal Collagen Mask Pack
Everyone needs a pump of collagen every now and then and this specially-formulated variety of masks offers that plus additional benefits to make the treatment even more effective.
- For lifting/de-puffing the eyes: THE FACE SHOP Raspberry Line and Lift Collagen Eye Patch
Hands down, one of the most effective eye masks on the market - no wonder this has become a cult product in Korea and beyond. After applying this gel-like collagen eye patch for 40 minutes, the eye circles look considerably less and the fine lines are decreased by at least 70%! Trust us on this one.
